U.S. Senate Panel Launches ‘Major Review’ Of Intel Ops

Washington (AFP) – The Senate Intelligence Committee will launch a “major review” of U.S. intelligence operations after its chairwoman warned Monday she had not been “satisfactorily informed” about the spying now roiling U.S.-European relations.

“It is clear to me that certain surveillance activities have been in effect for more than a decade and that the Senate Intelligence Committee was not satisfactorily informed,” Senator Dianne Feinstein said, adding: “Congress needs to know exactly what our intelligence community is doing.”
